Aasmita Association was founded with a profound conviction — that every human being deserves to live a life of dignity, opportunity and belonging. Rooted in the heartland of Chhattisgarh, our organisation works tirelessly at the grassroots level to address the multifaceted challenges faced by marginalised communities.
Our name, Aasmita (अस्मिता), means identity, self-respect and dignity in Hindi — values that lie at the very core of everything we do. We believe that real change begins when individuals discover their own worth, capability and voice.
Over the years, we have grown into a multi-dimensional organisation addressing social welfare, education, health, women's empowerment, LGBTQ+ equality, rural development, skill building, sustainable livelihoods, cultural heritage preservation and environmental sustainability — all with a people-first approach.
